Financial planning is the process of determining one’s financial goals for the short term and long term, and determining the best path to take in order to achieve these goals. By using current known variables (such as current pay and investments) we are able to formulate strategies and predict future income, asset values, and withdrawal plans. We are also able to help you achieve your short term goals, such as buying a car or college funding, while remaining within your risk tolerances.
A fiduciary is a person or business who is legally responsible to act in the best interest of their clients. A fiduciary must act with a higher standard of care, in order to preserve good faith and trust.
You do not need anything except the willingness to start putting away money for retirement. Each client has individual needs, whether just starting to create their vision or looking for security in retirement.
We do not have a “typical” client. Our clients all vary in age and net worth, and have different financial goals and situations. We strive to be able to cater to everyone who needs any type of financial service.
We meet with our clients once a quarter (every three months) for a review of current investments. We also meet if any special occasions arise, such as a change in laws regarding securities.
For your first appointment, there is nothing you need to bring except for any thoughts or questions you may have. You can also bring statements for any existing accounts you currently have.
As seen in our Estate Planning videos, our attorneys recommend a Revocable Living Trust if you own property or have a situation in your family that requires special arrangements, such as tax problems or a disability.
